Breguet Tourbillon: precision and watchmaking mistery
Abraham-Louis Breguet sold only 35 tourbillon watches during his lifetime, reflecting the complexity of this exceptional mechanism. In an era when watches were worn vertically, Breguet devised the tourbillon to compensate for the effect of gravity on the oscillator, thus improving the chronometric precision of the movement.
The tourbillon, with its mobile cage that rotates on itself, was inspired by the idea of a "rotating planetary system." Adapted to wristwatches, it combines traditional and innovative materials, maintaining its relevance. The Breguet tourbillon, present in almost all its collections, weighs less than a gram in any version.

Breguet Classique Collection
The Classique watches represent the essence of time: legible, precise, and aesthetically refined. This collection reflects the technical rules, the art of watchmaking, and the traditional values of the Breguet House. It stands out for its artistic crafts, such as dials with hand-made guilloché decoration or "Grand Feu" enamel according to traditional techniques.
Many models feature the iconic Breguet hands, designed by the master himself in 1783. Additionally, A.-L. Breguet's secret signature, created to combat counterfeiting, is found in most Classique models, remaining a distinctive mark of Breguet.

Breguet Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat Watch with automatic movement and caliber 581. This caliber includes an oscillating pendulum that operates at a frequency of 4 Hz, maintaining a power reserve of 80 hours.
The main complication of this model is a Tourbillon with a titanium carriage, hand-bevelled bar, topped by a spinel. The 18-carat rose gold case, with finely fluted caseband, has a diameter of 41 mm and is water-resistant up to 30 meters.
The dial is Grand Feu enamel with an alligator leather strap. The blued steel hands contrast with the typical whiteness of the enamel, ensuring perfect readability. The hour disc, with Breguet Arabic numerals, is off-centered at 11 o'clock, while the Tourbillon is positioned at 5 o'clock, reminiscent of the arrangement of pocket watches created by A.-L. Breguet.
